Calving Season: January to March, a period when the herds gather in large numbers on the southern plains, providing an opportunity to observe the birthing of many young wildebeests.
The peak season for the Great Migration is also the busiest, with many tourists flocking to the area. We do our best to navigate the crowds and provide a more secluded and intimate viewing experience, but please be aware that it can get busy
While river crossings typically happen between July and September, the exact movement of the herds can be unpredictable. Therefore, witnessing a river crossing is not guaranteed, but we strive to offer the best opportunities for you to experience this breathtaking event.
